The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that almost all agricultural land in Gaza is destroyed or inaccessible.

UNRWA said in a statement on Friday that families who depended on Gaza’s agricultural land for a living now have no income because their land has been destroyed or is inaccessible.

It added that people are unable to buy food in the markets and that aid must be brought in until Gaza’s agricultural sector recovers.

Gaza’s government media office said 480 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, bringing the total number of trucks that have entered the territory since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10 to 653.

On Oct. 10 the first phase of an agreement between Hamas and Israel to halt hostilities and exchange

prisoners came into effect; it is based on a plan by U.S. President Donald Trump to stop the war in Gaza.

The agreement calls for 600 humanitarian aid trucks to enter the Gaza Strip daily, including fuel and cooking gas.
