U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with One America News that solving the Middle East problem “is easily achievable after three thousand years of conflict,” adding: “We will get Gaza alongside a comprehensive peace, and that will be an amazing achievement.”
Trump said addressing Gaza would be the first step, saying: “After solving the Gaza issue, we’ll look at the Russia matter. I thought it would be easy but it was difficult.”
The White House, in comments to Fox News, said a plan to halt the war in Gaza is “widely acceptable,” expressing confidence that Hamas will agree to it soon, which would open the door to a “more peaceful Middle East.”
The administration added that Trump and his team worked on preparing the plan “tirelessly,” stressing that the proposal has broad international support, and that the president will draw a “red line” before Hamas to compel it to respond soon.
In this context, Trump issued a direct warning to Hamas, saying: “We are waiting for its approval of the peace proposals. It has only three or four days to respond, and if it rejects the agreement, Israel will do what it must do.”
The U.S. president concluded his remarks by saying: “Before I leave the White House, I will be waiting for Hamas to accept the peace proposals,” asserting that a swift response from the movement is necessary to move forward with implementing the plan.
