WHO: Gaza’s health sector has collapsed; border crossings must be opened urgently
شبكة الخامسة للأنباء - غزة

The World Health Organization said on Tuesday that the health situation in the Gaza Strip has reached a state of collapse, noting that between 80% and 90% of hospitals and health centres have been destroyed or severely damaged, and that rehabilitating or rebuilding them will take a long time.
The agency stressed the need to open crossings immediately to allow urgent medical evacuations and to deliver life‑saving aid and medical supplies.
It also called for Gaza City to be reconnected to its regional medical network, including Jerusalem, Jordan and Egypt, and urged more countries to receive patients from the Gaza Strip to relieve pressure on the deteriorating domestic health system.
