Yedioth Ahronoth: Comprehensive humanitarian deal would allow Rafah crossing to reopen and residents to return to the Gaza Strip

شبكة الخامسة للأنباء - غزة

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that, as part of an agreement between Israel and the Hamas movement, a comprehensive humanitarian framework has been reached that includes opening the Rafah crossing for the first time since October 7, allowing Gaza residents to return to the Strip as well as to exit via the crossing in coordination with the Egyptian side.

The agreement includes permitting the entry of 600 aid trucks daily for the United Nations, international organizations, donor countries and the private sector. The trucks will carry food, medical supplies, operational equipment and fuel for vital facilities, especially hospitals, in addition to cooking gas.

It also includes the delivery of equipment to repair and maintain essential infrastructure, including water networks, sewage systems and bakeries.

Trucks will be allowed to move from northern Gaza to its south via the coastal road (al‑Rashid) and the Salah al‑Din road along the eastern border, facilitating aid delivery and movement within the Strip.
